The most common cause of nasal valve incompetence and collapse is rhinoplasty. It has been present that 25% of patients with rhinoplasty have narrowed the nasal valve. Therefore, the nose should be considered not only aesthetically, but also functionally in rhinoplasty surgery. Other causes of nasal incompetence are trauma, congenital nasal cartilage and soft tissue weakness, aging, facial paralysis and cleft lip.
